Children's Stage Adventures

A Special Fast Track Grants Program

Fast Track Grants have been expanded to provide support for Children's Stage Adventures (CSA) residency programs at selected Maine schools. CSA is a non-profit company that mounts a full-scale musical production of a classic children’s tale in just one week.  CSA casts, directs and performs a complete musical production involving 50 or more children from each participating school.  CSA provides costumes, set, lights, props, script and score for a complete, polished production of one of CSA's seven original musicals. Titles include The Sword Called Excalibur, The Princess and the Pea and Oliver Twist.

      Dear Lorrie and Rob,

I wanted to write you and tell you what a wonderful time we enjoyed with Ben Regan and Chandra Diesel last week at MVCS. It was simply amazing to watch these two professionals at work! Our students were interested and excited about the production all week. They got caught up in Ben and Chandra's enthusiasm for the theatre and under their direction presented an amazing performance on Friday night. The play, the music, the costumes, the scenery, and the props contributed to a great learning experience for all of our students and staff. Most of all we, recognized that we had excellent teachers in Ben and Chandra!

Thank you for sending them to us! I am sure that all of our students, the faculty and staff of MVCS, and the parents of our students would agree with me when I say that I would highly recommend Children's Stage Adventures to every school. It was wonderful to watch the children work together and encourage one another as they pressed toward the Friday night goal of performing Oliver Twist.

    Sincerely,

    Harry Lingley,
